The Russian Orthodox Church needed additional worship and gathering spaces for its growing congregation. We worked with the church building committee to design a new addition to complement the existing interior spaces and to match existing exterior features and construction, allowing the façade to appear as if it has always been there. The new interior includes a narthex, entry and mezzanine choir spaces in the main space as well as bathrooms and informal gathering areas in the basement. The exterior remains true it the original design and is sited in a way that continues the church’s preference to be a friendly neighbor to the surrounding community.
